Earlier public-interest study.
English Wikipedia article views, 1 October 2025–30 September 2026. These are page views, not Google searches. The earlier twenty additions were selected from this study. The latest thirty are curated for scale and landmark character, not ranked by search volume.

Interest, with a paper trail.
We measured 164 English Wikipedia articles found through UK transmitter categories and named telecom-tower checks. We screened out broad place articles, demolished principal arrays, list pages, an out-of-scope Crown Dependency and a duplicate redirect. The remaining 147 form the eligible comparison set.
Rank is the sum of twelve monthly all-access / user counts from Wikimedia’s Analytics API. The median month and monthly bars help expose spikes. Each article link includes its exact API query. The raw data preserves every candidate and exclusion.
What this cannot tell us
- Exact Google searches, UK-only readership, unique people or visits to siginfo.uk.
- A definitive national ranking: sites without an article and spelling aliases may be missed.
- Why someone read an article. News, history and architecture can drive interest independently of reception questions.
- Whether a site is currently broadcasting. Standing heritage and transition sites remain eligible.
Google Trends reports relative, normalised interest and may suppress low-volume terms. It is not used as an invented monthly search count here.

The latest thirty scenes cover a 6 km terrain radius, with local OSM context requested in a 2 km square around each site. Earlier scenes retain their recorded extents. The cyan boundary marks the local OpenStreetMap context square. Outside it, mapping is uncollected. Terrain profiles do not include buildings, trees or radio propagation. Structure and equipment geometry is reconstructed, with uncertainty recorded in every dossier.
